BREIS, pronounced (breeze), is a Nigerian-British rapper, bringing the rhythm of Lagos and the energy of London to the stage. Blending hip-hop, afrobeat grooves, soul, and a touch of jazz, BREIS creates a sound that moves both the body and mind.

Expect top-tier lyricism, smooth flows, humour, wordplay and vivid storytelling. Drawing inspiration from A Tribe Called Quest, EPMD, Marvin Gaye, Fela Kuti, David Bowie and Stevie Wonder, BREIS moves fluidly between genres. He is a dynamic performer that has shared stages with legendary artists including Toni Allen, Big Daddy Kane and Angie Stone.

His debut album, Stranger on Earth, is a powerful body of work exploring themes of love and belonging. Featuring some of the finest producers and musicians in the UK, and earning recognition from Capital XTRA, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 1Xtra.

For this special performance at Soul Mama, BREIS will be joined by his live band and guests — bringing his music to life and celebrating the release of his album.
