It’s hard to overstate the influence of Fela Kuti — a revolutionary artist whose impact on music, politics and culture shaped the course of the twentieth century. A true pioneer of afrobeat, Fela gifted the world timeless anthems like ‘Beasts of No Nation’, ‘Zombie’ and ‘Water No Get Enemy’. Celebrating the life and legacy of an icon, we’re bringing Fela’s former bandmate Bukky Leo and Black Egypt together with a stellar lineup of London musicians to revisit the Nigerian multi-instrumentalist’s most powerful works. This event is not in association with Fela Kuti.
