Herlin Riley QuartetHerlin Riley is a renowned jazz drummer, composer, and educator celebrated for blending traditional New Orleans rhythms with modern jazz. Born and raised in New Orleans, Riley began playing drums at age three and later studied music at Southern University before becoming a sought-after collaborator for legends including Ahmad Jamal, George Benson, and Harry Connick Jr.. He gained international acclaim through his longtime work with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, while also leading his own acclaimed projects, including the album New Direction. A passionate mentor and educator, Riley continues to share the rich traditions of New Orleans jazz with audiences and young musicians around the world.
