About The Great Grog Bake Off.

Based on The Great British Bake Off, the ultimate baking battle where passionate amateur bakers compete over the course of 10 episodes, the Grog Shop will host a one-night competition and delicious bake-tasting event inspired by the classic Channel 4 program, back by popular demand! As an audience member, you'll be sharing in the spoils of the competition by sampling the competing bakes and voting on them live. Your entry fee will go to the winning baker as part of the grand prize pot! Our hosts and judges will entertain you and the contestants with their goofy antics and critiques. THE CHALLENGE By popular demand, the theme for our 8th installment is CHEESE. Savory or sweet, cheese is beloved worldwide and has made an appearance in bakery from cheesecake to danishes, Polish Kolaczki, or Colombian pan de queso; bakers must use cheese somewhere in their signature bake. They'll have only one chance to impress the judges, take home the crown, and our grand prize! But wait, they'll also have the opportunity to win over the audience, who will also be voting for their favorites. So stack that invite list for your chance to win the Popular Vote and get your tickets now to the only event at Grog Shop where you can TASTE the competition. To participate, fill out a baker entry form here: https://forms.gle/5ddcB1Ui9mFxVf8X8 THE JUDGES Riley Moodry is the 21-year-old owner of RileyCakes. For the past five years, she has been making custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies and pastries, then posting the results to more than 20,000 Instagram followers. She baked as a kid, but her real start came at Young Chefs Academy, where an instructor asked the 14-year-old whether she wanted to be a chef. She attended the International Culinary Arts & Sciences Institute, where she helped chefs run public cooking classes. She is bringing her colorful brand to Kirtland in November, where she will be opening a vintage-styled brick-and-mortar bakery. Madelyn Varela is a cheesemonger, ACS Certified Cheese Professional, and creator behind Cheezy Talk with Madelyn. She makes approachable, entertaining content about cheese, food, and culinary travel, bringing nearly a decade of industry experience to everything from cheese education and pairings to discovering the stories behind the cheese we eat.
